[The Source: Shibahadhramaut.info - 15/04/2009] Under the slogan of "raising the level of educational attainment of pupils and students in mathematics" was held today, at  Ms. Aisha School in  Shibam District,  the first workshop for teachers of mathematics in which,  Fifty-one teachers from various basic education  schools participated.  The aim of the workshop is  to study and discuss the reasons for the low level of students in mathematic,  come up with appropriate solutions to   give teachers a range of knowledge and educational skills in the teaching of this important subject for the benefit of pupils and students.  At the opening ceremony  of the workshop, the Shibam  Director of  Education,  Mr. Badawi Faraj Miftah , talked   about the  importance  of holding this special  workshop for   mathematics teachers  in  basic  schools, is to discuss and to identify the reasons for the low level of students in this subject.. for the teachers of The need to develop solutions to overcome this problem the future. He thanked Mrs. Aisha school management for full preparations for the workshop, called on all teachers to take advantage of the workshop themes and applies in practice.  The Opening ceremony of the workshop was attended by Mr. Hussein Talib Al-Jabri . -  Member of the local council of Shibam, a number of supervisors from the Department of Education and directors of schools in the District.
