[The Source: Saah/hadhramaut.info - 11/04/2009] The first meeting of the Coordinating Council of the civil society organizations in  Saah District was,   held on Thursday morning, headed by Sheikh bin Brek  Karama Bin Jowhar , Chairman of the Council  in the presence its  members. .During the meeting, the council discussed the appropriate mechanism for the conduct of its business in the coming period and drew up a plan to inform and to approved in the next meeting.Mentioned that the   the Council was founded last week after a workshop in which all associations and civil society organizations in Saah participated in it.  Within a networks of civil society organizations established by Oxfam to create a platform for joint action among those organizations. The Council aims to achieve participation in the formulation of strategic policies and plans, particularly those related to the poor people and to advocate for them in all areas and for both sexes as well as activating the role of partnership between government and civil society organizations and donors through the consolidation of efforts in this area.
