http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Yemeni meteorology warns against torrents flow & thunderstorms [The Source: Almotamar.net /hadhramaut,info - 07/04/2009] The Yemeni National Meteorology Centre has on Tuesday warned the inhabitants of the mountainous areas against influx of torrents and rock slides resulting from medium to heavy rainfalls accompanied with thunderstorms expected in the next 48 hours.The new warning came after two days of a similar warning the Centre has launched the day before yesterday at a time the capital Sana’a and most dost Yemen governorates have witnessed continuously rainfall with thunderstorms since the beginning of this week.The Centre urged the people the necessity of taking necessary precautions especially those living in the capital Sana’a, Mahweet, Saada, Hajjah, Thamar, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, Baidha, Lahj and Dhalie. The Centre also indicated that the chances are prepared for extension of rains to parts of desert governorates of Mareb, Shabwa and Hadramout.
