http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Yemen, Somalia talk over higher education cooperation [The Source: /www.sabanews.net/hadhramaut.info - 30/3/2009] Yemen and Somalia talked here on Monday over the bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries mainly higher education and scientific research field. In the meeting which gathered Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Saleh Ba-Surrah and Somali Education and Culture Minister Ibrahim Ado, the two ministers discussed possibility of presenting Yemeni financial grants to Somali students who study in Yemeni universities as well as coordinating between the two ministries to make available university seats for Somali students. Ba-Surrah reviewed the facilities offered for the Somali students within the presented support by Yemen to Somali people, affirming the ministry will continue giving 100 scholarships for Somali students annually, among them 10 postgraduate grants. For his part, the Somali minister praised Yemeni government's support to the Somali people in different fields, especially higher education, considering it a contribution to push forward the educational process in his country.
