President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi said on Saturday that the political crisis which erupted in 2011 was a real catastrophe on Yemen that could harm Yemen's security, stability and unity and lead to civil war.
Hadi talked during his meeting with members of the National Authority for Monitoring the implementation of NDC outcomes about the nature of contacts occurred after carrying out the terrorist attack against Al-Nahdeen Mosque with the international community, which averted the country from dragging into civil war.

He commented that he didn’t receive anything from the previous regime, saying "I didn't receive anything except the republican flag, however, the situation in the country was very serious and war was everywhere in Sana'a streets and in some other provinces.''

The President noted that the signing on the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism gave the country a chance to enter in a dialogue.

"By signing the GCC-brokered deal in the Saudi capital, Riyadh Yemenis entered in a dialogue far away from the language of divisions, fighting and war,'' the President stated.

He added that good people in the country put the country's supreme interests above other interests for the justice, freedom, equality under the flag of democracy and unity.

Hadi asked the good people in the country to provide more cooperation, cohesion and coherence for the success of the political transition completely, saying that the international community is supporting Yemen for this noble purpose.

Moreover, the President said the UNSC resolution No. 2014 warned spoilers, who aim to impede the process of the reconciliation and democratic change in Yemen, confirming that the country made great progress in the path of succeeding the political change based on the Gulf initiative and UNSC resolutions in this regard.

"The National dialogue launched on March 18, 2013 came out with a good result, which represents a new rule system in the basis of participation in power and wealth, justice, freedom, equality under the umbrella of democracy, unity, and the federal state,'' the President noted.

"Today we launched a key and important stage in the path of implementing the federal constitution, which came as a result of the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference,'' the President added.

The President said that with dialogue Yemen's issues and problems can be solved. "There is no need to resort to the violence, kidnapping, and killing,'' he mentioned.

He talked also about the aggressive campaign targeting Yemen following the terrorist attack took place lately in the French capital, Paris, saying Yemen lost billions of dollars due to the terrorism.

He urged the members of the national authority for monitoring the implementation of the NDC outcomes to review the draft of the federal constitution with any press from any party, group or side.

"Those who impeding the political process in the country should know that they can't hinder this great success,'' he mentioned.

In related news, the head of the Constitution Drafting Committee Ismael al-Wazeer handed over the draft of the new constitution to the Vice President of the National Authority for Monitoring the implementation of NDC outcomes, Dr. Abdul Kareem al-Eryani in order to be reviewed by the authority's members.
