http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Turkish ambassador offers condolences to President [The Source: SANA'A\Hadhramaut\Saba - Monday -03/Nov./2014] Turkish ambassador to Yemen Fazli Corman offered on Monday condolences to President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi over the death of Dr. Mohammed al-Mutwakel, as well as the killing of 19 soldiers in Hodeida governorate. Al-Mutwakel, a Secretary-General of the Union of Popular Forces Party and an academic professor, was shot dead on Sunday by gunmen on a motorbike, as he was walking in a street close to his home in central Sana'a. On Saturday, 19 soldiers killed in clashes with al Qaeda militants in the Jabal Ras district in Hodeida. Also, Hadi and Corman reviewed the latest developments in the local arena and the underway efforts made by political factions to end the political standoff in the country through the implementation of the Peace and National Partnership Agreement (PNPA) in accordance with the GCC-brokered deal and the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC). The Turkish ambassador expressed full confidence that Yemen can tackle the current security and economic challenges, saying that Turkey stands by Yemen until completing the transitional phase successfully.
