http://www.english.hadhramaut.info AL calls Yemeni powers to abide by PNPA [The Source: CAIRO\Hadhramaut\Saba - Sunday -02/Nov./2014] The Arab League (AL) has called on all Yemeni political powers and components to abide by the terms of the Peace and National Partnership Agreement (PNPA).

In the final statement of its extraordinary meeting at the level of permanent delegates, the AL's Council called on Ansarullah group to cease their military activities and withdraw from the areas they have controlled and to return the equipment and weapons to the state.

The Council considered removing of Ansarullah camps from the capital Sana'a and the surrounding area a positive step in the right direction.

It stressed that the Yemeni state and its constitutional bodies are concerned with the protection of Yemen and its unity and stability.

In their meeting, the Arab delegates urged the Yemeni powers to expedite the formation of new government based on the national dialogue outcomes and the GCC initiative to ensure the realization of Yemeni people's aspirations and demands.

They appreciated President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi's efforts to complete the transition and the political process in order to preserve the unity, security and stability of Yemen.

The Council condemned the terrorist activities of al-Qaeda in Yemen, expressing concern about the risks arising from clashes between al-Qaeda and Ansarullah to the future of the political process and the security and stability of Yemen.
