President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi said in a speech at the presidential palace on Tuesday that Sana'a is facing a conspiracy that will lead towards a civil war.
During a wide range meeting with heads and members of the cabinet, parliament and Shura councils, Hadi said that "Many powers came together, either those who lost their interests in Yemen or those pushed by their personal grievances to take their revenge on their country rather than on individual, or the opportunists who take advantage of any disaster to attack the country.''
"I promise you despite all challenges that facing the country, I will shoulder my responsibility and my commitment before you, especially in this critical situation, and I'm insisting to restore the security and stability in Yemen and I will work towards implementing the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC),'' Hadi said.
He noted the negotiation held with Ansarallah leader in order to solve the crisis between the two sides and to maintain safety of the capital Sana'a.
" The capital Sana'a has been holding negotiations since months ago in order to keep Sana's safe from any kinds of attack and I was very keen not surrender or drag Yemen into a civil war,'' Hadi mentioned.
The President said what happened in the capital Sana'a is due to a foreign and internal plot aiming to blow up the situation in the capital.
"There is a foreign and internal plot that aims at impeding the experiment of Yemen in the peaceful transition,'' the President stated
"I'm saying here that the capital Sana'a didn't fall and it will not fall because Sana'a is the capital of all Yemenis and will not be in a hand of any group.. and for that reason we signed the Peace and National Partnership Agreement,'' Hadi added.
"We made a lot of efforts to contain the crisis politically and peacefully, and we sent committees and delegations to Sa'ada, not because that we are weak but because that we are aware that wars will bring destruction everywhere,'' Hadi said.
Hadi in his speech renewed and expressed the state's commitment to implementing the Peace and National Partnership Agreement on the ground.
"The Agreement is considered an entry to realize peace and security in the society, and it is a genuine entry to maintain social cohesion among all Yemenis,'' the President said.
He denied allegations which say that he gave up Sana'a in order to announce Aden as a capital, saying that I personally fought for unity and sacrificed my sincere men for its project which I'm believing in.
"I'm reiterating here that we did not breach to the document of the National Dialogue Conference which maintains Yemen's security, stability and unity to announce that I am not cheating and circumventing it,'' Hadi stressed.
He added that there is also another rumor which says that the President weakened a political party in order to strengthen another, saying this is not real because all political components in the country are the pole of the national scene.
Moreover, the President urged all media outlets to stay away from all kinds of rumors, and to shoulder their responsibility in this critical situation.
He also called on all Yemenis to work together in order to realize hopes and aspirations of the Yemeni people towards building a new Yemen based on the NDC outcomes.
