During the meeting, Hadi described the recent escalation of violence in the capital as a coup attempt by the Houthis when tried to storm the building of the state-run [Al-Yemen] satellite TV channel and other institutions along with security checkpoints. "Houthis use these public demands to achieve something different on the ground,'' President Hadi said, pointing out to attempts of the state to handle the crisis with Houthis through the current negotiations led by the UN envoy to Yemen Jamal Benomar. Hadi entrusted the ambassadors to convey the picture of the latest developments in the country to their countries' leaders, praising their support to Yemen in different circumstances. The ambassadors reaffirmed their countries' full support to Yemen and to the efforts of President Hadi with the aim to preserve Yemen's security, stability and unity, expressing their concern over the latest escalation by Houthi group.
