http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Civil Defense Council holds its first meeting [The Source: www.hadhramaut.info - 16/2/2009] Hadhramaut Civil Defense Council held its first meeting yesterday which headed  by Governor of the province Salim Ahmed Al-Khanbashi in the presence of Secretary-General of the Local Council Saeed Ali Baimin along with deputy governor Amir Mubarak Amir  and  Awad Abdullah Hatim deputy governor for Coast affairs and a host of other officials. The meeting was devoted to discuss the legislation and law of civil defense in the provinces. The Governor affirmed that the establishment of the Civil Defense Council in the province was based on  Governor's decision No. (49) for the year 2003 in implementation of the the Prime Minister memorandum in 2001 to establish sub-councils of the civil defense in the provinces so that the Council shall exercise its functions and powers entrusted to it in the the preparation of plans and projects of the civil defense and follow-up to approval and implementation as well as to organize and coordinate cooperation between various bodies in the province.
