In a statement issued by the Japanese Foreign Ministry, Japan urged all Yemeni parties to give the Yemeni people's interests a first priority, and to work together to complete the implementation of the national dialogue's outcomes without resorting to threat of use of force. It stressed that its efficient support will continue to the efforts of the Yemeni people to build a new Yemen through dialogue and under the leadership of President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi. Japan also expressed support for the presidential statement issued by the UN Security Council on Friday on the situation in Yemen, which voiced grave concern about the recent deterioration of the security situation in Yemen. The Security Council condemned the Houthis' actions, including their escalating campaign to bring down the Government and undermine the country's political transition. It called on Houthis to withdraw their forces from Amran province, cease all armed hostilities in Jawf province and remove the camps and dismantle the checkpoints they have erected in and around capital Sana'a.
