Yemeni ambassador to Muscat Abdul Rahman Ubaid has handed over a letter from
Minister of communication and Information Technology Kamal al Jabri to Omani Minister of transportation and communication Khamis al-Alawi. The letter included Yemen's desire to send a delegation from the Ministry to get acquaintance with the Omani experiences in structuring trade institutions working in communication sectors, legislative sides concerning on investment in the communication sector in Oman.The Omani Minister showed his country's readiness to facilitate the task of the Yemeni delegation.During their meeting, the Yemeni ambassador and the Omani official talked on an agenda of the upcoming meetings of the Yemeni-Omani Joint Ministerial Committee (YOJMC) to be held in Oman from February 28 to March 01, 2009.After the meeting, the Yemeni ambassador said that the upcoming meeting of YOJMC would discuss a number of important issues, particularly following up and evaluating the results of the previous meetings.Ubaid pointed out that they reviewed the cooperation agreements and protocols to be signed by the two countries in fields of goods, travelers carriage, customs, fishery wealth, adding that a memo of understanding in technical education and vocational training fields would be also signed."The preparations for holding the meetings of the Yemeni-Omani Businessmen Council to be held in Sana'a within the two upcoming months would be discussed during the YOJMC's meeting", Ubaid said
