delegation of French Niras Company for Consultations which was signed a contract with UNDP to support efforts of the Yemeni interior ministry to conduct a study to develop civil defense in governorates of the country. The talks focused condition of the civil defense and its activities in the governorate to reduce impacts of the natural disasters and suggestions to develop its performance in the governorate. Al-Khambashi affirmed importance of setting up council for civil defense in the coastline and valley region and activate its role in combating the natural disasters, voicing readiness of the governorate's leadership to offer all facilities for the company to do its task The talks also reviewed relief efforts taken to tackle impact of flood which hit the governorate last October.
