According to Legal Affairs Minister Mohamed al-Mekhlafi, draft laws on transitional justice and looted funds have been included in the government's agenda. He added that after discussion and approval by the Cabinet, the draft laws would be referred to the Parliament to finalize the constitutional procedures and endorse the laws.

In its meeting, the Cabinet approved a grant agreement signed with the International Development Association (IDA), under which Yemen will get US$10 million to fund the health services project for mothers and newborns in the targeted areas.

The Cabinet approved a loan agreement to contribute to financing the fourth phase of the rural roads development project with an amount of 30 million KWD (about US$106.74 million) between the Yemeni Government and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).

The project, which includes the construction of nearly 600 kilometers of the rural roads, aims to connect the remote rural areas and isolated villages with the urban cities and centers.

The Cabinet also ratified a loan agreement to finance the fourth phase of the Public Work project with an amount of 10 million KWD (about US$35.58 million), which was initialed between the Yemeni Government and AFESD.

The project aims to alleviate poverty and combat unemployment by providing new jobs and supporting the community development through funding a number of development projects.

The cabinet also approved a loan agreement, which was signed by the Yemeni Government and the OPEC Fund for International Development, to contribute to funding the fourth phase of the Social Fund for Development project of improving the economic infrastructure and the access of social services to the Yemeni poor and vulnerable people with an amount estimated at US$ 25 million,

In this regard, the Cabinet directed the Ministers of Planning and Finance to provide the government's contribution to funding those projects.
