At the meeting, the Turkish ambassador handed over a thank-you letter to al-Raie from the Turkish Parliament's Speaker Cemil Cicek on the condolence letter on the victims of the coal mine disaster occurred last month in Turkey. An explosion in the coal mine in western Turkey's district of Soma killed almost 301 people, making it one of the deadliest mining disasters in the Turkey's history. At the meeting, al-Raie and Corman discussed a number of issues related to develop the cooperation relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them. Al-Raie welcomed the Turkish investments in Yemen in all fields, noting to the Yemen's investment law that provides all facilities and merits to investors. For his part, Corman praised the changes taking place in Yemen, wishing further progress and prosperity for Yemen.
