Stability in these countries helps to stabilize the region and the world as well, Foreign Minister Abu Baker al-Qirbi said in a speech delivered at the 6th session of the ministerial meeting of the Arab-China Cooperation Forum held in of Beijing on Thursday. Al-Qirbi thanked the development support China provides to Yemen and its firm position in the UN Security Council towards the political crisis in Yemen. "The Chinese position alongside the rest of the Security Council permanent members helps Yemen to solve its crisis and implement the Gulf initiative backed by States of the Gulf Cooperation Council, UN and Arab League." Yemen has served as a model of addressing crises by peaceful political solution, he said, pinning hopes that all States stand by Yemen in the current critical stage. At the international level, al-Qirbi urged the international community to assume its responsibility to the Palestinian people. He reiterated Yemen's firm attitude in support of the Palestinian people's rights and struggle for its independence, considering the recent Palestinian reconciliation is a step to realize this goal. He also said that the violent and devastative acts in Syria required an international effort to stop them, stressing that serious dialogue between opposition and the Syrian government is best solution to steer Syria away from violence and agree on a roadmap for change according to the Syrian people's will.
