http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Dulah Fort transformed into culture center [The Source: www.hadhramaut.info - 31/1/2009] The administrative body of Hadramout local council decided to transform the historic fort (Dulah) in Eastern Dees into multi-purpose cultural center serving the cultural and heritage of the Directorate.  The decision came in the end of a meeting yesterday chaired by governor of  hadhramaut and chair person of the Local Council  Salim Ahmed Al-Khanbashi in the presence of Secretary-General  Saeed Ali Baimeen. The conversion step aims at making the best use of the center and make it an incubators for the various cultural and heritage activities in a way that highlights the areas of creativity and rich cultural inventory of the Directorate, particularly in the area of shipbuilding industry and the diversity of the popular tradition of handicrafts. This step comes after the completion of the rebuilding and restoration with a cost of 17 million Yemeni Riyals.
