A group of students from the US Princeton University in
New Jersey State paid a visit on Friday to Ibb governorate where they got acquainted with the historical and tourist landmarks. The group, consisting of ten students and researchers, is lid by the ex-ambassador to Yemen Barbara Bodine. They met with deputy governor of Ibb Khalid Badr al-Deen who welcomed them and reviewed with them the natural merits of Ibb and investment potentials in the different fields. Badr al-Deen presented a brief on the democratic experience of Yemen and what have been achieved in the governorate via local administration, noting that the active political participation of women enabled them occupy a number of leadership positions in the local councils at the level of the governorate and districts, in addition to their role in the civil society organizations, parties and political organizations. The delegation expressed their happiness to visit Ibb within an academic research task conducted by the International Affairs and Economic Development Academy on Yemen.
