Yemen is to host early next month the 66th Conference of the
council of Health Ministers in the Gulf States. The meeting will discuss a detailed report on activities and achievements of the council as well as following up issued decisions and recommendations and the latest scientific developments to improve medical services in the countries. The meeting will deal with many issues relating to primary health care, assessment study on the council's activities and programs, the health of teenagers and youth in addition to the issues of combating nerve problems, diabetics and malaria. Moreover, the conference will discuss the issues of immigrant laborers and medical specialization council in the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries, said executive director of the Council of the Health Ministers in the Gulf States Tawfiq bin Ahmed Khuja. Medicines and medical procurements as well as financial issues of the council and primary and family health topics would be discussed at the meeting as well, he added.
