McJunkin has delivered to the Yemeni Government state-of-the art thirty biometric collection systems.
As part of the United States' commitment to assisting Yemen combat terrorism and other criminal activity, these systems, with a total value over $503,000, will assist in the collection and comparison of biometric data, specifically fingerprints.
In a press release of the US embassy in Sana'a, the systems are portable, and provide an automated ability to quickly capture and compare fingerprints of suspected terrorists or other criminals.
Yemen is the first country in the Middle East to receive this equipment from the U.S. Government, underscoring the significance the United States places on Yemen as a critical counterterrorism partner.
