http://www.english.hadhramaut.info PM heads meeting on rebuilding affected areas in Hadramout, Al-Mahra [The Source: www.sabanews.net - 23/1/2009] Prime Minister Ali Mujawar headed on Thursday a meeting in Hadramout over discussing rebuilding process of the rain affected areas in Hadramout and al-Mahra governorates. The meeting, consisting of the Board of Rebuilding Fund of Affected Areas, reviewed a number of field reports on the volume of damages caused by the floods. The board estimated the cost of rebuilding process to reach over than YR161 billion. The meeting also reviewed summary of the report prepared by the World Bank mission which visited the disaster areas due to the floods crisis. The summary focused on the damages of the crisis on the different sectors and the subsequent losses along three years afterwards, particularly production, agricultural, fisheries, livestock and industrial sectors. The report estimated volume of direct losses due to the crisis at around YR174.9 billion represented in affecting the economic flow which is expected to take place in the country for the four coming years.
