http://www.english.hadhramaut.info President Hadi receives GCC envoy to Yemen [The Source: SANA'A\Hadhramaut\Saba - Tuesday -20/May/2014] President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi reviewed on Tuesday with the Gulf Cooperation Council's envoy to Yemen, Saad al-Arefi, the military and security campaign against al-Qaeda militants in Abyan and Shabwa. President Hadi said that Yemen has suffered from terrorism for a long time, warning of the scourge of terrorism. "Al-Qaeda's operations reached to the capital, Sana'a, where al-Qaeda aggressive actions targeted the hospital of the Defense Ministry’s compound, killing and wounding scores of innocent physicians and patients,'' the President said.   He also noted that al-Qaeda attacks on the Central Prison in Sana'a and repeatedly attacks on foreigners and diplomats pushed the armed and security forces to launch this campaign against al-Qaeda elements. Al-Arefi confirmed that the GCC supports all steps and measures that President Hadi has taken at various levels to get the country out of its turmoil.
