http://www.english.hadhramaut.info After participating in Friends of Yemen meeting, FM returns home [The Source: SANA'A\Hadhramaut\Saba - Saturday -03/May/2014]  Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi returned to Yemen after his participation in the 7th ministerial meeting of the Friends of Yemen Group, which held in London on April 29. Al-Qirbi described the groups' meeting as successful. "The meeting endorsed a new structure to trigger the group's role in the coming stage." The new structure designed to align support for Yemen with the priorities set at the conclusion of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC). According to the structure, a senior level steering committee was established, along with three working groups focused on the key economic, political and security reforms needed to complete the country's democratic transition. The working groups are co-chaired by Yemen and each of the World Bank Group to the economic working group, Saudi Arabia to the political working group and the USA to security working group. The Group's 7th meeting was held under a co-chairmanship of Yemen, Saudi Arabia and UK and with the participation of representatives of 39 countries and international organizations. The Group was established in January 2010 during a meeting at ministerial level of the group's state members held to coordinate international support for Yemen's efforts to achieve the comprehensive development, tackle the reasons behind instability and help the government fight terrorism The Foreign Minister said that on the sidelines of the meeting, he held a several meetings with officials of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to discuss the means to enhance the mutual cooperation relations.
