http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Yemen signs MoU to build solar power plant [The Source: SANA'A\Hadhramaut\Saba - Saturday -26/April/2014] Minister of Electricity Saleh Sumai has signed in New Delhi with Bharat company of India a memorandum of understanding to build a solar-powered electricity plant at a total cost of $ 100 million. The energy produced by the solar-powered plant amounting to 60 megawatts at a total cost of $ 100 million ,provided as a soft loan from the Indian government, will be distributed to the capital ,the province of the Socotra archipelago and the island of Kamaran in Hodeidah province. According to the MoU, the time period for the completion of the station has been specified between 10 to 12 months, after its approval by the official authorities and in accordance with the legislations in force in the Republic of Yemen.
