http://www.english.hadhramaut.info UNDP, UNFPA, UNOPS elect Yemen as member of executive office [The Source: NEW YORK\Hadhramaut\Saba - Thursday -24/April/2014] Yemen and India have been elected, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, as members for the executive office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) for the period 2015-2017. Electing Yemen in the executive office considers an important step to highlight the economic and development agenda at this stage in the light of the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism as well as the National Dialogue Conference (NDC)'s outputs. It also confirms that Yemen was elected for the importance the international community attaches to Yemen.
