Speaking to Saba, Fisheries Minister Awadh al-Sugutri said on Saturday that the summit, organized by the Netherlands, in close collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Bank, will address the threats to the health and productivity of oceans in order to achieve the global food security. The Summit will highlight the need to address the next frontier of successful integrated approaches that attract public-private partners, secure financing and catalyze good ocean governance while reconciling tensions and balancing priorities between growth and conservation, private sector interests and equitable benefits for communities and Exclusive Economic Zones and Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction policy frameworks.
