Basindwa and Gormez discussed the bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries, particularly in area of Islamic sciences, preaching, religious guidance, as well as the means to enhance role of scholars, preachers and intellectuals in serving nation's issues and unifying the Islamic communities worldwide. For his part, the Prime Minister talked about the vital role the Islamic scholars have played in spreading values and teachings of Islam based on moderation, tolerance and coexistence. He said that the mutual visits between Yemeni and Turkish officials in both countries would strengthen the joint relationship between the two countries, praising the role Turkey has played in support of Yemen to succeed the ongoing transition stage. In return, Gormez expressed confidence that Yemen will overcome all difficulties in the current stage, pointing to the success of national dialogue in Yemen, which became a model for the Islamic nation. He underlined his country's keenness to enhance the bilateral relations with Yemen, especially in the Islamic science fields.
