Yemen records trade deficit in 2012

Yemen recorded a trade deficit of 3786.10 USD Million in 2012. Balance of Trade in Yemen is reported by the Central Bank of Yemen.
Balance of Trade in Yemen averaged -117.09 USD Million from 1990 until 2012, reaching an all time high of 1700.30 USD Million in 2005 and a record low of -3786.10 USD Million in 2012.
Oil accounts for around 85 percent of Yemen’s exports. Other exports include fish, naphthalene, cigarettes, fruits, soap and animal hides.
Yemen mostly imports fuels, wheat and corn, rice, meat, pharmaceutical products, sugar and vehicles. Yemen’s main trading partners are China, India, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, the United States, the United States and Switzerland.
