http://www.english.hadhramaut.info Yemeni official meets UK Minister of State [The Source: LONDON\English.Hadhramaut\Saba - Friday -28/February/2014] Yemen's ambassador to the United Kingdom Abdullah al-Radi met on Thursday with the UK Minister of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Hugh Robertson. The meeting dealt with proposals related to activating mechanism of Yemen Friends' meeting more effectively as a respond to the requirements of the coming stage, especially after the successful completion of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC). The ongoing preparations for holding the seventh ministerial meeting of the Group of Friends of Yemen in the British capital, London, in April were also touched on in the meeting. The two officials reviewed ways to enhance and develop the mutual relations of the two friendly countries as well as means to promote the British investment in Yemen. Al-Radi pointed out to the vital role of the UK at the bilateral and international levels in propping up the coming phase requirements, particularly after succeeding the NDC. He also noted to the important role of the regional and international efforts to support Yemen in order to overcome its political crisis and implementing the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism. For his part, the UK Minister praised the achievements attained in Yemen in the current stage, asserting that the UK would continue supporting Yemen in the overall fields, especially within the framework of Yemen Friends' Group.
