"We want the relationship between Yemen and Iran to be based on fruitful cooperation, mutual respect and transparency in the various issues," the Premier said during his meeting with Iranian ambassador to Yemen Mahmoud Alizadeh to bid farewell on the occasion of ending diplomatic tenure to Yemen. He called Iran to play a pivotal role in underpinning the stability, security and unity of Yemen, and to direct its support to the whole Yemeni people not to a party or a particular person. He accentuated the importance of the Iranian positions toward Yemen to be the same in secret and in public, and aim to the good of the common interests and the security and unity of Yemen. Yemen has no interest to loss Iran. On the contrary, it is keen to have strong relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Prime Minister said, reiterating the call to rebuild the relationship between the two countries on bases of mutual respect and non-interference. The Iranian ambassador stressed his country's adherence to strengthen fraternal relations with Yemen, saying that the Iranian strategy toward Yemen confirms the stability and unity of the Republic of Yemen. Alizadeh pointed to the importance of communication between the Yemeni and Iranian officials and talk about all aspects of the relationship openly and transparently. He also expressed his country's readiness to support Yemen in development areas and in implementing development projects, especially in fields of oil, gas, dams, roads and electricity. On the same occasion, Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basindwa met also with South Korean ambassador to Yemen Park Kyu-Ock. During the meeting, Basindwa praised the effectual role the Korean ambassador has played during his tenure in Yemen, which help strengthen the mutual relations in various political, economic and investment areas. He also valued the Korean attitudes in support of security, stability and unity of Yemen. The Korean ambassador reiterated his country's support for the stability and unity of Yemen, and its willingness to provide the necessary expertise to Yemen in all fields, particularly economic and investment.
