This came during the meeting held Thursday at the British Foreign Office in London to discuss the arrangements and preparations for convening of Friends of Yemen meeting in London on March 7, in presence of the Charge d’Affairs of Yemeni Embassy Abdulmalik al-Eryani and representatives of embassies of the participating countries and organizations. In the meeting, al-Eryani expressed Yemen’s appreciation for the efforts made by Britain to assist Yemen in all fields, underlining the importance of the joint efforts to help Yemen to face the current challenges according to the needs and requirements of the coming phase. The coming meeting of the Friends of Yemen will discuss aspects of support for Yemen in allocating the donors pledges estimated at $ 7.8 billion in 2012 and the steps that have been taken to launch the national dialogue conference on March 18, as well as the preparation for the coming election in February 2014.
