http://www.english.hadhramaut.info President urges Total to open negotiation for changing LNG prices [The Source: Mukalla/Hadramoutinfo/Saba.net - 10/1/2013] President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi discussed here on Wednesday with French ambassador to Yemen Frank Julie the means to enhance the mutual relations.

The President said Yemen's relations with France are moving forward, adding that the partnership with the French company of Total is strategic. He described Total as the biggest investment partner in Yemen.

He indicated to some topics touched upon in his meeting with Total's president in Paris, saying we have made some agreements that we want to be translated into action.

"We have given Total more concessions, and look forward to see the company opening negotiations with the Korean side to change the previous agreement of the price of the Yemeni Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)," the President said.

He also reviewed the latest developments on the implementation of the Gulf initiative and the on going arrangements for holding the national comprehensive dialogue conference.

Julie accented that France is watching closely the progress of the political settlement in Yemen and supports President Hadi's decisions in this regard.

He talked about several issues concerning the terrorist attacks on oil and gas pipelines that cause the Yemeni economy great losses.
