Political and Social activity: 1-One of the founders of Alhadharm Student Union in Dawan  then the General union of the Yemeni students. 2- One of the founders of the democratic  union of Yemeni youths in Hadhramaut Governorate. 3- Joined the political organization of the National Front during his study and shouldered a lot of  leadership responsibilities in this organization then joined the Yemeni Socialist Party. 4- First secretary for the Yemeni Socialist Party /Dawan disrtisct . Then in Mukalla. And was a member in the party leadership in the Governorate . 5- Elected as a member in the central committee for the Yemeni Socialist party then became a member in the political bureau until 2001. 6- Currently a member in the permanent committee  for the General people's Congress. Academic  and Scientific Activities: 1-Participated in a lot of researches and scientific symposia 2-Wrote two books and participated in the writing of three other books written by the higher commission for election and referendum . 3-Amember in the board of directors for the  historical studies and future strategy center.
